The description is 100% accurate. Powerful, yet smooth. I got it to replace the stock pickup in my 1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard. It went great with a Grey Wolf in the neck position. Wolfe was great to work with. No regrets, a huge upgrade. This was back when his business was just getting started. So cool to see it going so well. Given how much he cares about the quality of his product, I’m sure his pickups are even better now than they were over 20 years ago!

I put the Fenris in the bridge of my 2000 Gibson Flying V. I didn’t expect an Alnico II to be as tight and big sounding as this pickup is! The bottom is solid, with no flub. Highs are thick and dinging, but still plenty of bite and harmonics to be had. Overall, it’s very balanced. Cleans up well too. A great match with the Marshallhead neck I already have in it. I’d sum it up like this: the Fenris is brown n round, with grind, chime, and clarity. It really hits the sweet spot I was after with my V.
